Defending Champions Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Nepal APF Sports Club (APF) were crowned the men’s and women’s champions respectively at the second Nepal National Volleyball League played at the National Sports Council covered Hall, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal.

In the men’s category defending champions NPC defeated APF 18-25, 25-18, 25-14 and 25-19 in their last league match to defend their title and win the National Volleyball League for the second year running.

Meanwhile APF defeated all the participating teams en-route to their women’s league title.

NPC’s Sanjay Aryal and APF’s Saraswoti Chaudhary were adjudged male and female Players of the League respectively, and were awarded with Nepalese Rs. 15,000 each.

Amrit KC of Western Region, Umakanta KC of Tribhuvan Army, Mahendra Shrestha of APF and Milan Malla of APF were adjudged best setter, best server, best defender, best blocker and best spiker respectively in the men’s category.

Likewise, Binita Budathoki of APF, Chuda Khadka of NPC, Manisha Chaudhary of Western Region, Ramila Tandukar of New Diamond and Salina Shrestha of New Diamond were awarded with best setter, best server, best blocker, best spiker and best defender awards respectively in the women’s category.

The winners of the individual awards bagged Nepalese Rs. 5,000 each. The winner and runners up in the both categories bagged NRs. 150,000 and NRs. 75,000 respectively.

A total of eight teams in men’s category and seven teams in women’s category participated in this edition of the Nepal National Volleyball League, which is organized as an annual event by the Nepal Volleyball Association.
