In the second half Blake Griffin came out blazing the Blazers. First he was pushed out on a pass inside so he spun in and darted by his man for a quick dunk. He finished with a season high and a game high 29 points and 13 rebounds.

For a change, an opponent of the Lob City Clippers had the honour of claiming the Dunk of the Night, as JJ Hickson posterized DeAndre Jordan.

“He is getting extra rebounds and getting out on the break.” Vinnie Del Negro said of their inability to contain JJ Hickson.

The NBA is inundated with talent. Its often when the stars are out of action that those other fringe players get their chance to shine. Wes Matthews made a couple of runners to begin the fourth. Hasheem Thabeet scored off an alleyoop. The score was 78-79 with one minute in the fourth quarter.

To end the third quarter Chris Paul dribbled the clock down and tossed a jumper which drew iron but the Clippers converted the miss. The fourth quarter saw Chris Paul with the ball and the clock winding down. He did what he’s done for the Clippers all year long, nail the game winning bucket.
