"1.2.3 Cancun here we come" - LA Lakers fans in shambles after team falls to 16-win Houston Rockets

The LA Lakers (34-36, 10th in West) fell to a disappointing 114-110 loss against their 15th-placed Western conference rivals, Houston Rockets, on Wednesday (March 15) night.

LA struggled the entire game and was never able to bounce back. In fact, the purple and gold never took the lead all game. This defeat is definitely a huge momentum breaker.

Fans on social media were extremely disappointed at the fact that their team couldn't beat the weakest one in the West. Some fans are now blowing shots by jokingly predicting that the Lakers will take an early vacation again this season. One remarked:

LA Lakers stumble to defeat against Houston Rockets

The LA Lakers went into battle against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday without their two superstars, Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

With the Rockets being 15th place in the West this season, Darvin Ham likely didn't see the need to put Davis in the lineup. Ham benched AD to give him time to rest his previously injured foot that kept him away from the court for 20 games.

Apparently, keeping Anthony Davis out wasn't the best idea, especially now that the Lakers are desperately trying to secure a spot in the postseason. Austin Reaves shone the brightest, putting up 24 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Unfortunately, his efforts weren't enough to stop the Rockets.
