Doncic purposely missed a free throw with 4.2 seconds left on the clock, grabbed the rebound and made the game-tying shot. The score was 115 all with just a second left in the game after the point guard’s heroics.

The three-time NBA All-Star did not just score the points. He directed everything the Mavericks ran throughout the game. Dallas, after trailing for most of the match, never went behind in extra time. The Mavericks never relinquished the lead after Doncic’s free throws made it 118-116.

Per ESPN Stats Info, no NBA team has won a game after trailing by at least nine points with 35 seconds or lower. Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks just did what was previously deemed impossible.

NBA teams were 0-13,884 in the last 20 seasons when trailing by at least nine with 35 or fewer seconds remaining, per @ESPNStatsInfo.

Luka Doncic and the Mavs pulled off a miracle.

James Harden accomplished the last 60-point triple-double back on January 30, 2018 while playing for the Houston Rockets. “The Beard” ended that night with 60 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Harden’s incredible feat helped the Rockets win the game against the Orlando Magic.

Doncic’s night, though, was just mind-boggling, considering his 20-rebound effort while also hitting 67.7% of his shots.

The Mavericks just unveiled a statue of the legendary Dirk Nowitzki a few days ago. Cuban might have to build another one, according to Kevin Garnett:

“It’ll be another statue in Dallas… Luka is like that!”

Luka just having fun!
The game EZ @luka7doncic !

Luka Doncic is only 23 years old. KG's suggestion to build a statue for him may have to happen far into the future. Mavericks fans, however, will fortunately enjoy watching their franchise player carry the franchise.
