UFC 286: Justin Gaethje vs Rafael Fiziev

Octagon audio reveals Rafael Fiziev giving genuine six-word praise to Justin Gaethje

Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev put on a show this past weekend at UFC 286. Going into the fight, fans knew they were in for an all-action barnburner and that is exactly what they got.

While Gaethje was the underdog heading into the bout, 'The Highlight' proved that he's still one of the best in the division, despite being overpowered by Fiziev in the first round. As the fight continued, Gaethje made the necessary adjustments to edge the second and third rounds, causing a lot of damage to 'Ataman's face.

- Fiziev to Gaethje

Following the win over Rafael Fiziev, Justin Gaethje made it clear that he is targeting one last run at the UFC lightweight championship. The former interim lightweight champion has fought for the undisputed strap twice already, but came up short on both occasions against Khabib Nurmagomedev and Charles Oliveira.

Justin Gaethje calls out Michael Bisping for "biased" and "unprofessional" commentary at UFC 286

Justin Gaethje called out Michael Bisping at the post-fight press conference for his "biased" commentary during the main event of UFC 286.

Bisping, along with Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik, were the commentary team for UFC 286 this past weekend. While a commentator is expected to stay unbiased, Bisping has been criticized for his bias towards Leon Edwards in his fight against Kamaru Usman.

At the post-fight presser, Gaethje was asked to comment on the outcome of the main event. 'The Highlight' suggested that Usman deserved the judges' nod before acknowledging that he might be biased as the former welterweight champion is his teammate.

Gaethje then went on to take shots at Michael Bisping and suggested that he shouldn't have been on duty for the fight:

"I thought [Usman] won the fight, but I'm probably as biased as the judges. Certainly not as biased as Michael Bisping, who shouldn't have been anywhere near a microphone during that fight... I just thought it was very unprofessional."
