UFC 286 Payouts: How much did Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman and other fighters make compared to ring girls and officials?

Leon Edwards stands to earn his biggest career payday with the UFC 286 payouts.

While the UFC doesn't disclose exact fighter earnings due to contract clauses, The Sports Daily arrived at some potential numbers for the UFC 286 payouts using previous estimates.

As per the report, Edwards' guaranteed payout for the trilogy win against Usman was $542,000 with a projected figure that could reach $1 million after adding incentives.

This is a far bigger number than the $432,000 that 'Rocky' received for his first title win over Usman at UFC 278 last August.

This made Leon Edwards the highest earner at UFC 286, followed by Kamaru Usman, who was reportedly guaranteed a purse of $532,000. The UFC is expected to payout a total of $2.7 million in salaries, incentives, and bonuses to all the UFC 286 fighters combined.

While only a few undercard fighters managed to cross the $30,000 mark, women's flyweight veteran Joanne Wood will reportedly receive a guaranteed payout of $86,000 for her split decision win over Luana Carolina.

UFC 286 payouts for ring girls and officials

UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste was recently reported to have amassed a net worth of £4.3 million, which is more than the net worth of former welterweight champ Kamaru Usman.

While UFC ring girls have various other sources of revenue like OnlyFans accounts and modeling, let's see how much they make from UFC events. According to The Sports Daily, ring girls earn $1,000 to $5,000 per event, which is more than the $700 to $2,500 pocketed by referees.

UFC ring announcers (Bruce Buffer in this case), reportedly receive a payout of $50,000 to $75,000 per event.

Of the total $2.7 million UFC 286 payouts, $251,500 will be incentive pay generated by the Venum deal. The payout structure is based on the fighters' tenure in the company, including the Zuffa era WEC (2007 on) and Strikeforce (2011 on) fights.

Fighters with 1-3 receive $4,000, 4-5 fights receive $4,500, 6-10 bouts receive $6,000, 11-15 receive $11,000, 16-20 receive $16,000 and 21 fights or more receive $21,000. Meanwhile, title challengers are paid $32,000 and champions are paid $42,000.
