Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler will miss time in the offseason as he is currently recovering from a partially torn pec. Per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Hamler recently underwent surgery on his pectoral injury, which he suffered in training.

Pelissero added that the recovery time for his injury is four to six months, and Hamler will have a chance to be ready by the start of training camp in late July.

Injuries have been a concern for Hamler throughout his career.

During his rookie season, he suffered a hamstring injury that placed him on injured reserve at the end of the season. During his sophomore season in 2021, Hamler suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 3 of the season.

This past season, Hamler played in seven games as he was put on injured reserve on December 3, 2022, with a hamstring injury.

The Denver Broncos have had trade talks surrounding three wide receivers this offseason. The belief around the league is that the Broncos are looking to move one or more of their receivers that include Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and KJ Hamler.

Given Hamler's injury, teams may not be interested in acquiring him. Teams have already contacted the Broncos about Jerry Jeudy, but their asking price for a second-round pick plus more seems to be too steep for teams.

There haven't been too many rumors about Sutton on the trade block, but it's believed that Denver is fielding offers for most of their wideouts.

With Hamler's injury, it may be smart for the team to hold on to their current wideouts as Hamler has been a very injury-prone receiver throughout his career.
