After tonight's SmackDown Live episode went off the air, two championships were defended in separate matches.
Bayley retained her Women's Title against Charlotte Flair, while Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain his WWE Title.
Earlier in the night, during A Moment of Bliss, Nikki Cross challenged SmackDown Live Women's Champion Bayley to a match. A Bayley-to-Belly resulted in Bayley pinning Cross to win the match.
In the latest WWE NEWS, Kofi Kingston is currently in a feud against Samoa Joe, and the two Superstars will clash at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV. A segment featuring Kofi and Joe ended with Kofi showing the middle finger to Joe and hitting him with Trouble in Paradise. Later on in the night, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens lost a #1 contenders match to Heavy Machinery, who will go on to face Daniel Bryan & Rowan, and The New Day in a SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles match at Extreme Rules.
The ending to the show saw Owens hitting Ziggler with a Stunner.
In a rare occurrence, the live audience got to witness two championships matches after the show went off the air. The first match featured Bayley successfully defending her SmackDown Live Women's Title against Charlotte Flair. Although Flair dominated Bayley throughout the match, her cockiness resulted in Bayley managing to pick up the victory.
The second match saw Kofi Kingston squaring off against Dolph Ziggler with the WWE Title on the line. Ziggler used a kendo stick on Kofi, earning him a disqualification. Kingston proceeded to fight back and left Ziggler laying to send the fans home happy.
Kofi Kingston has held the WWE Title since WrestleMania 35 and has been heavily protected by the company. He has a tough nut to crack at the upcoming PPV, when he faces Joe.
