WWE Super ShowDown 2019: 5 Potential finishes for Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler - WWE Championship

Kofi Kingston has been the model WWE Champion over the past few months, but his reign could come to a premature end in Saudi Arabia on Friday night when he meets the challenge of former World Champion Dolph Ziggler.

It's obvious Ziggler was only brought back to WWE because Kevin Owens refused to travel to The Middle East with the rest of the WWE roster, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a chance that Ziggler can once again become the ultimate opportunist or at least soften Kingston up ahead of a cash in from Mr. Money in the Bank Brock Lesnar.

Super ShowDown has the potential to be a fantastic show, headlined by The Undertaker and Goldberg, but at the same time, there is also a lot of potential for title changes if Brock Lesnar follows through on his promise to cash in his contract.

#5 Dolph Ziggler becomes WWE Champion

Will Dolph Ziggler be victorious in The Middle East?

Dolph Ziggler was obviously a last-minute replacement when Kevin Owens dropped out of the trip to The Middle East, but over the past few weeks, he's proved that he's more than capable of dethroning one of the most popular champions in WWE history.

Kingston has been attacked by Ziggler multiple times in the build-up to this match, which shows that even though Kingston is a veteran of the ring, Ziggler knows exactly when to strike and on Friday night that could be his key to victory.

Ziggler is a former World Champion, but he has been missing from WWE TV for the past few months whilst he's toured as a stand up comic, it's unknown as to whether or not he will be sticking around this time, but a win on Friday night would be a huge hint about his future in WWE.

#4 Big E makes his return to the ring

Will Big E turn on his brothers?

When all is said and done and the dust has settled in Saudi Arabia, Kofi Kingston will need a challenger for Stomping Grounds, since the most likely outcome is that he walks out with his title around his waist.

Big E has been at the center of a lot of speculation over the past few months, with the most recent rumors suggesting that he could decide to reunite with Dolph Ziggler, the man who brought him into WWE and turn against The New Day.

It seems strange to have such a huge WWE moment happen at a throwaway show in the Middle East, but if Big E is available and considered fit for action then there's no reason why he can't interfere in the match, seem as though he's helping Kingston before turning on his longtime friend and beginning the demise of one of WWE's most popular teams.

#3 Kofi Kingston retains his WWE Championship

Will Kofi Kingston retain his WWE Championship in Saudi Arabia?

Kofi Kingston is a fighting Champion, he's shown that over the past few months since he's been put on the spot many times and forced to prove that he deserves to hold one of the company's biggest Championships.

Dolph Ziggler was once like Kingston, when he became Champion he had to prove that he deserved it but his injury issues became too much for WWE and when he was labeled, the title was taken away and Ziggler had since had to fight his way back to the top.

The WWE Universe has backed Kingston as the Champion over the past few months, ever since he first lifted that Championship at WrestleMania and will continue to do that In Jeddah, where he's expected to come out on top once again and then move onto Stomping Grounds ahead of another interesting title defense.

#2 Another undetermined ending?

Will Xavier Woods be the difference maker?

Super ShowDown is being billed as a show that could be just as big as WrestleMania, which isn't the case at all, which is why many of the matches are expected to have definitive endings to keep the casual fans happy.

Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler has so many combustible elements that it's hard to see this coming to an actual clean finish. Ziggler hasn't just targetted Kingston in recent weeks, he's taken his frustration out on Xavier Woods too, who could decide to involve himself in the match on Friday night to get even with The Showoff.

There's also the added Big E and Brock Lesnar factors, both of which could interfere and prevent this from being a clean finish for Kingston, so don't expect the Champion to walk out with a pinfall victory on Friday night, there could be seeds for the future planted in Jeddah.

#1 Brock Lesnar cash in

Will Brock Lesnar cash in on Kofi Kingston?

Brock Lesnar refused to cash in his contract on Monday Night Raw despite him having Seth Rollins beaten because he later decided that Friday was the better date for him to cash in.

Many fans have wondered why Brock Lesnar refused to cash in on the man who took away his Championship at WrestleMania and one of the only answers to such a question is that Lesnar actually wants to cash in on Kofi Kingston and become WWE Champion instead.

Until Lesnar actually cashes in his contract, Kingston will be looking over his shoulder hoping that Seth Rollins is the victim that is chosen by The Beast, but the closer Friday comes the more likely it is that Kingston will be able to overcome the challenge of Ziggler, but not the challenge of The Beast in the Bank.
