Deepika Kumari clinched the bronze in the Women’s Recurve event

In more good news for India in Sports on Sunday, Deepika Kumari clinched the bronze in the women’s recurve event, by beating Chang Hye Jin of South Korea at the Archery World Cup, being played in Antalya, Turkey
The 20-year-old from Ranchi defeating her South Korean opponent 6-2 in the finals to clinch the bronze medal. This victory will come in as a much-needed boost for the young archer, particularly after she encountered a tough time in 2014, where she failed to make it to the Indian team as she finished outside the top 4.
This is now Deepika’s second medal at a World Cup. Earlier, she had won a silver medal at the 2013 Shanghai World Cup in the individual event.
