Her first major breakthrough came in the year 2018 during her Junior Year at Monmouth University. She represented her college running team and improved her personal bests in the 800m and 1500m to 2:04 and 4:22 respectively, qualifying for her first NCAA Championships. In the following year, Wilson ran one of her best runs at the Boston University Valentine Invitational finishing at 2:02.65 in the 800m category, which was also the second fastest time at the NCAA that season.
