Born December 8, 1996, Conner Blair Mantz is an American long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. Mantz is a Utah native. Paul Mantz, his great-grandfather, was a well-known air racing pilot and flight instructor. At the age of 12, Mantz finished his first half marathon. At age 14, he ran a half marathon in 1:11:24, averaging 5:26.8 minutes per mile.

He was a three-time All-American in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships while attending Sky View High School in Utah. He chose Brigham Young University (BYU) for college. He qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics hosted in Paris, France.

Conner Mantz and Clayton Young were training partners, former BYU collegiate champions, and Utah natives. On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Conner Mantz and Clayton Young finished 1-2, respectively, in the nationally televised U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Orlando, Florida. With a timing of 2:09:05, Mantz finished one second ahead of Young in his fourth marathon of his life.

Young and Conner made history by becoming Utah's third and fourth Olympic marathon qualifiers. All four were natives of Utah, former church missionaries, and former BYU runners. Ed Eyestone, the BYU coach who works with Mantz and Young and is originally from Ogden, was on the squad in 1988 and 1992. In 2016, Kaysville native Jared Ward joined the group.
