Cole Hocker, a 23-year-old American athlete, earned a spot in his second Olympic Games in 2024 when he overtook Yared Nuguse in the last 250 meters to win in a meet record and personal best of 3:30.59 at the 2024 Olympic Trials in 1500 meters. He is also the silver medalist in the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championship.

Hocker specializes in 1500 meters and 5000 meters and has four national titles in the former and one in the latter. Further, in the 1500 meters, he finished sixth in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and seventh in the Budapest 2023 World Championships.

Hocker recorded a personal best of 12:58.82 in the 5000 meters at the Los Angeles Grand Prix. He broke the meeting record in February 2024 with a time of 3:37.51 when he won a national title in the 1500 meters at the 2024 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
