IAAF Diamond League: Kerron Stewart triumphs in women's 100m

Kerron Stewart took home the Gold in the women’s 100m at the latest IAAF Diamond League in Stockholm. The Jamaican crossed the line in 11.24s, winning a close race by just 0.01s from Alexandria Anderson of the United States of America. Barbara Pierre rounded off the podium by finishing third.

Ukraine’s Serhiy Smelyk won the 200m for men’s in 20.54s. Norwegian Jaysuma Saidy Ndure and Jamaica’s Rasheed Dwyer finished second and third respectively.

In other results, the men’s 400m was won by USA’s LaShawn Merritt in 44.69s. Russia’s Svetlana Shkolina won in the women’s high jump, with fellow Russian Aleksandr Menkov triumphing in the men’s long jump.

In the final event of the day, Eunice Jepkoech Sum of Kenya won Gold in the 800m event for women.
