Zagreb - Jamaican sprinter Kemar Bailey-Cole finished second behind American Mike Rodgers in the 100m at the IAAF World Challenge Track and Field meet here.

Bailey-Cole, a 100-metre finalist and sprint relay gold medallist at the recent IAAF World Championships in Moscow, clocked 9.99 seconds Wednesday, reports CMC.

Rodgers won the event in 9.97 while World Championships silver medallist Justin Gatlin of the United States was third in 10.01.

In the men’s 400 metres, Edino Steele, a member of Jamaica’s 4×400 metres quartet which took silver at the Moscow World Championships, was third in 45.59 seconds.

The event was won by Britain’s Martyn Rooney in 45.29, with the Czech Republic’s Pavel Maslak second in 45.42.
