
Karissa Schweizer is a professional American track and field athlete, specializing in middle and long-distance running. She hails from Urbandale, Iowa, and made her international debut in 2019 at the World Cross Country Championships. The same year, she qualified for the Doha World Athletic Championships. Schweizer then represented the USA at the Tokyo Olympics in the 10-km category and finished 12th.
In 2024, Schweizer again qualified for the Olympics for the Paris edition in the 5,000-meter and the 10,000-meter categories. She had completed her graduation from the University of Missouri. There, she most prominently won four medals in the NCAA Women’s Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships and in the NCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.
