Two-time Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones will compete in Friday’s World Cup women’s bobsleigh opener as a pusher for pilot Jazmine Fenlator on one of three United States entries.

Jones struck the penultimate hurdle at the 2008 Beijing Olympics 100-metres hurdles final and finished seventh and settled for fourth place in the same event last August at the London Olympics.

And while she is aiming to hurdle at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, she could end up at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia after trying the sport for the first time last month, having been recruited by US coach Todd Hays.

Another US athletics star, gold-medal sprinter Tianna Madison, will push on the USA-1 sled piloted by Elana Meyers, who was third at this year’s world championship. Madison ran on the US world record women’s 4×100 relay at London.
