Legendary runner Usain Bolt and Indian cricket sensation Virat Kohli engaged in a fun banter ahead of the Indian cricket team's World Cup league match against Pakistan on Saturday (October 14).

Bolt, who is the world record holder in 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay, opined that although Kohli is faster on the pitch, he is faster in the air.

The banter started when Virat Kohli posted a photo of himself on X (formerly Twitter) diving to take a catch in what appears to be an advertisement shoot for PUMA.

The former Indian captain said the dive scores 100% and asked fans to weigh in their opinions.

"Think this definitely is a 100% score. What do you guys think? 🤔," he tweeted.

Usain Bolt then replied to Kohli's post by saying he saw his dive and said he was faster in the air, adding that he would catch India's next World Cup match against arch-rival Pakistan.

"Hey @imVkohli saw your dive the other day. You can be fastest on the pitch, but I’m faster in the air 😉 Will be watching your next game. Chak de fattey!," Bolt replied.

Indian cricket team mainstay Virat Kohli, who is known for his big-match temperament, is currently playing in the World Cup in India.

The Delhi-born Indian batsman took the discussion with Bolt forward and said he was getting ready for the match with a few extra 100m sprints if the legendary runner was watching.

"Usain paaji! Getting ready for tomorrow with a few extra 100m sprints if you’re watching 😉," he replied.

The Jamaican sprinter recently shared a photo on social media where he was playing a game of padel, a racket sport that bears resemblance to both tennis and squash.

Padel is a Mexican sport that is sometimes referred to as padel tennis. It is typically played in couples on a constricted court that is slightly smaller than a conventional tennis court.
