Moscow, June 22 (IANS) Russia fully supports the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s declaration, adopted on Tuesday at the organisation's summit in Lausanne, on the transparent and effective anti-doping system, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said on Wednesday.

"Russia backs the declaration of the IOC," Mutko told journalists. "We stand for the concise doping control system. We support the decision of reviewing the anti-doping system next year."

The minister added a total of 46 doping samples were collected from the footballers of the national team at the ongoing UEFA Euro championship, reports TASS.

"The Russian national team was tested 46 times at the Euro Cup," Mutko said.

"Doping samples were collected for two days in a row and from the same players. Three doping samples were collected from (Fedor) Smolov and all tested negative."
