Rio de Janeiro, Aug 7 (IANS) The Russian Olympic team fans' house here was burgled during the 2016 Olympics opening ceremony, the house's head Anastasiya Grigoryeva has claimed.

"During the ceremony opening the Olympic Games, the Russian Olympic team fans' house was robbed. Three laptops and a camera were stolen," she said on Saturday, reports Tass.

"The police are looking into the incident. The inquiries are underway."

The fans' house operates in a routine mode, she said.

"But no matter what, we are continuing work and our doors are open to everybody," Grigoryeva added.

"We are hoping that our House will host lots of guests who will come to greet our champions."

The ceremony opening the 2016 Summer Olympics here, the first to be held in South America, kicked off on Friday.

The Games are scheduled to be held from August 5 to 21.
