Sanjeevani Jadhav sprints to a new record in 3000m race at All India Junior Championship

The 15th All India Junior Championship witnessed a new record in 3000m race as Sanjeevani Jadhav took the city of Chennai by storm.

The Nashik based female sprinter completed the distance in a record time of 9.47.28 minutes breaking the time of 10.02 minutes previously set by Sahala Khatun in 2011.

Jadhav’s coach, Vijendra Singh, talked about her newly achieved feat to the reporters from Chennai.

“Sanjeevani has performed well and has the ability to run for Olympics,” he said.

Sanjeevani had also set a new record time of 17.11.27 minutes in 5000 metres, securing a gold medal for the same.
