Shericka Jackson, born on July 16, 1994, is a Jamaican sprinter excelling in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Notably, she holds the title of the fifth fastest woman in the 100m and is the fastest woman alive and second fastest in history in the 200m. Jackson began his career as a 400-meter sprinter and went on to win individual bronze medals at the Rio Olympics in 2016, the World Championships in 2015, and the 2019 World Championships. She has also had success in relay races.


She switched to the 100 and 200 meters in 2021 under coach Stephen Francis, setting personal records of 10.77 and 21.82 seconds at the Jamaica Olympic Trials. At the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won bronze in the 100 meters and helped the 4x100 and 4x400 meters relay teams win gold and bronze, respectively. Jackson's remarkable performance in 2022 continued as she won three medals at the World Championships, including a historic gold in the 200 meters with a time of 21.45 seconds, both a national record and a championship record. She demonstrated her versatility by winning silver in both the 4x100m relay and the 100m. She established her status as one of the best Jamaican sprinters at the Monaco Diamond League by setting a new personal best in the 100 meters in 10.71 seconds.
