An Indian school team that is presently in Turkey to participate in the International School Athletics Competition has taken to Twitter to put forth a request to the Government of India, seeking help to return back to the country following the conclusion of the competition.

A group of 5 girls, who are part of the squad competing at the event, said that they left New Delhi on the 11th for the event and with just two days left for its conclusion, they have now sought the help of the government to help them return back home safely.

“We have come to Turkey for the World School competition. This is held between the 11th and 18th of July. We found out from our parents today morning about the attacks at Ankara, but the trapzone where we are put up, there is no problem.

“Our competitions ends on the 18th . We are not sure if there would be further events. On the 18th, we are going from the trap zone to Ankara, Ankara to Istanbul and then Istanbul to Delhi. So we request the government to help us as much as they can to ensure we safely reach back home,” one of the girls said.
