At Bluffton High School in Ohio, Trevor Bassitt excelled in track and field with impressive times, including 14.20 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and 37.94 seconds in the 300 hurdles. He won district and Northwest Conference titles, set conference and district records, and claimed state titles in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Bassitt was named NWC Athlete of the Year twice and earned seven conference championships, along with four varsity track letters and one in basketball. He completed his collegiate career at Ashland University, where he was coached by Jud Logan, who passed away earlier in the year. Bassitt continues to train remotely with support from former coaches and his fiancée, Harlie Gregory, who is also an avid runner.
