Uttam Khatri of the Nepal Army won the 7th Real Kathmandu Marathon in Nepal which was held on September 21, 2013 at the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu. Uttam completed the marathon in 2 hour 32 minute and 01 second to win the marathon while defending champions Krishna Basnet, also of the Nepal Army finished second place with completing the course in 2 hour 32 minute and 40 seconds.

Rajan Khatri won bronze by completing the course in 2 hour 33 minute and 54 seconds. The winner took home Nepalese rupees 1,00,000 in cash prize while the first and second runners up took home Nepalese rupees 50000 and 20000 respectively.

Pro Sports Private Limited with technical support from Nepal Amateur Athletics Association, has been organizing the Kathmandu Marathon annually. The seventh edition of Real Kathmandu Marathon was organized with the slogan ‘Do your share for a cleaner city’.

The title sponsor of the Kathmandu Marathon is Real fruit juice from Dabur, Nepal. Total of 6,000 individuals including athletes from 20 foreign countries participated in the event.
