Gopichand says qualifying will be tough
Chief national coach Pullela Gopichand says he will spend more time mentoring coaches after the Tokyo Olympics to ensure that Indian badminton delivers its promise of becoming a super power in the sport. The former All England champion, who has been at the helm of Indian badminton for one and a half decades, has been instrumental in guiding SainaNehwal and Sindhu to Olympic medals.

Speaking on the Tokyo Olympics, he said qualification was the main focus. The process would be difficult but he hoped our badminton players would emerge as medal winners.
