This year's March Madness Elite 8 is set after two days of great Sweet 16 games. For the first time in NCAA tournament history, there are no No. 1 teams in the national quarterfinals.

Purdue was eliminated in the first round, while defending champions Kansas was out after the second round. Meanwhile, Alabama and Houston were both stunned in the Sweet 16 on Friday by San Diego State and Miami, respectively.

In addition to San Diego State and Miami, the six other teams in the Elite 8 include Kansas State, Florida Atlantic, Gonzaga, UConn, Texas and Creighton. The Aztecs and the Owls are making their first appearance in the national quarterfinals, while the Huskies are the only team with an NCAA championship.

Arkansas vs Connecticut
Arkansas vs Connecticut

The favorites to move into the Final Four are UConn, Texas, Creighton and Kansas State, per DraftKings. UConn has been the most impressive team in this year's March Madness with three blowout wins and an average margin of victory of 20.7 points.

Meanwhile, Texas and Creighton have also had relatively three easy wins en route to the Elite 8. As for Kansas State, they outlasted Michigan State in overtime in their Sweet 16 matchup.

Gonzaga probably had the toughest win among the final eight teams, while Florida Atlantic and San Diego State are considered underdogs. Not many predicted that a No. 9 team and a Mountain West team will be in the regional quarterfinals. Miami has made it to the Elite 8 for the second straight year and is looking to make their Final Four debut.
