Charles Barkley is back at it again with his hilarious claims and funny takes. The "Inside the NBA" star has taken on a role during the NCAA Tournament of livening up the pregame and halftime shows and letting his personality shine.

The 11-time All-Star and Hall of Famer opened up about the struggles of his playing days during halftime of Iowa State and Pittsburgh. He put a unique twist on the complaints of his playing days and how much better players today have it.

As Barkley put it, "I'm so old we used to take a shower in our uniforms."

Kenny "The Jet" Smith was quick to interject and question if Barkley was telling the truth. The two bantered back and forth and showed what makes their on-camera chemistry so special. While some complain about the lack of basketball talk or analysis of on-court play, the entertainment value they provide is what keeps people coming back.

Did Charles Barkley shower in his clothes?

While Charles Barkley did his best to give logic on why this occurred, there is no evidence of this happening. He made a fair point about there not being staff assigned to laundry as there is is now and how the teams often had to fly commercially the next morning, unlike the charter planes that are now utilized.

However, Kenny Smith refused to believe this was true and quipped back, “No one in their right mind has ever done that."

While Barkley got to the NBA three years sooner than Smith, most of the two's careers overlapped. Barkley starred at Auburn from 1981-84, while Smith was a standout at North Carolina from 1983-87. If this were a common occurrence around this era, one would think Smith would at least be familiar with players going through this process.

Perhaps, it was an exaggeration by Barkley. One would think there were much better options even dating back to his playing days.

The lives of college and professional basketball players are certainly more glamorous now than they were back in Barkley's days. However, the laundry process may not be the best example of how things have changed. You have to give it up for Charles Barkley for continuing to raise the bar with unexpected and entertaining comments.

One thing that is for sure is that no one wanted to match up with Barkley back in the post in his day with or without the dirty laundry.
