Vietnam to host Asian bodybuilding championship

Hanoi, Aug 25 (IANS) Athletes from 27 countries and regions including India will compete at the 47th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship in Ho Chi Minh City from Aug 30 to Sep 1, reports Xinhua.

Around 350 athletes from China, India, Iran, Japan and Thailand among others will battle it out for 36 sets of medals in the men’s and women’s bodybuilding, fitness physique, model physique and athletic physique.

The annual championship is expected to be an opportunity for athletes to prepare for the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar in December.
