Michigan vs South Carolina Projected Starting Lineup and Depth Chart for November 4 | Women’s College Basketball Season 2024-25

Defending champion South Carolina starts its quest for back-to-back titles, taking on Michigan in its season opener on Monday. The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The matchup is part of the Hall of Fame Series, which also features the men's basketball clash between Ohio State and Texas at 10 p.m. ET.

The Gamecocks open the 2024-25 women's college basketball season on the back of their all-conquering 38-0 surge, which included winning the SEC regular season, SEC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament titles.

Dawn Staley and her squad seek to keep their lofty perch with 10 players returning this season, including reigning SEC Tournament MVP MiLaysia Fulwiley.

On the other hand, Michigan looks to improve on its 20-14 record in the 2023-24 season. After finishing sixth in the Big Ten regular season, the Wolverines made the NCAA Tournament but were eliminated in the first round by Kansas.

Michigan underwent a major overhaul to its lineup, getting three players from the transfer portal and five commits from the high school ranks. This includes five-star recruits, Syla Swords and Olivia Olson. The acquisitions placed the Wolverines at No. 4 in the high school recruitment rankings.

A surprise win by Michigan over South Carolina would start the Wolverines' campaign on a bright note. On the other hand, a Gamecocks victory would extend their winning streak to 39 games dating back to last season.
