The former LSU Tigers transfer, Hailey Van Lith, has committed to TCU, as per Talia Goodman and On3 Sports.

"BREAKING: LSU transfer Hailey van Lith is headed to TCU, a source tells @TheNextHoops She averaged 11.6 ppg and 3.6 apg last season."

The news of her transfer elicited mixed reactions from college basketball fans. She played her last game with LSU against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The former Louisville transfer seemed frustrated throughout the game as she was not successful at guarding the Iowa star player, eventually losing the game.

Many fans believe that Van Lith transferred because of the disappointing game against Clark and the Hawkeyes.

"Caitlin Clark ruined her," a fan commented.
"See if she stays at TCU," another fan wrote.
"Didn’t she just transfer in there last year?," a user chimed in.

Despite many Twitter users reacting negatively to Van Lith's transfer news, some of them were excited to see her with Haley Cavinder at TCU.

"Van Lith and Cavinder on the same team!!!? TCU TCU TCU," a fan wrote.
"Hottest team in the country," an excited fan wrote.
"With Haley Cav too oh shit," a fan wrote.

Hailey Van Lith will enter her fifth and final year of college in 2024-25, wrapping off an exciting career. Van Lith will join forces with another high-profile addition, Haley Cavinder.

Cavinder played three seasons at Fresno State before transferring to Miami for the 2022–23 season. After an off-season, Cavinder will return for a fifth year with the Horned Frogs.

LSU HC Kim Mulkey explained why Hailey Van Lith decided to transfer

Hailey Van Lith decided not to enroll her name in the 2024 WNBA draft. Neither LSU head coach Kim Mulkey nor Van Lith addressed her departure publicly until Thursday, when the LSU women's basketball team hosted a year-end banquet inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

“Her aspirations were to get drafted this year,” Mulkey said as per Nola.com, “and she realized, ‘I need another year, and I need to go back to a place where I can relax and get back to my normal position.’
“And what do you do? You hug her, and you wish her well.”
