If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a quick photo taken at the NBPA Top 100 camp might be worth a novel. As is typical in the biggest college basketball recruiting feeding frenzy, a veritable who's who of the top coaches in college basketball gathered behind a security rope to watch some of the nation's top prospects.
Top coaches at NBPA Top 100 camp
In one photo, On3sports recruiting analyst Joe Tipton snapped an astonishing list of college coaches. Tipton, being careful not to rule out missing another coach in the crowd, named eight coaches in his photo. Here's a rundown of who made the cut.
John Calipari
The Arkansas recruiting ace, who has recently been tied to the New York Knicks' vacant coaching job, Calipari has plenty of accomplishments. A national title winner in 2012 at Kentucky, he has led three different programs to the Final Four and took the Razorbacks to the Sweet 16 in his first season in Fayetteville.
Dusty May
The up-and-coming Michigan coach preparing for his second season there. May took Florida Atlantic to the Final Four in 2023 and led Michigan to the Sweet 16 in his first season at Ann Arbor.
Dan Hurley
The back-to-back NCAA title winner in 2023 and 2024, Hurley and UConn, are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2024-25 season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. For the 2024 Naismith Coach of the Year, that seems pretty likely.
Bruce Pearl
The longtime Auburn boss has taken the Tigers to a pair of Final Fours, including the 2025 event. At age 65, Pearl is so popular that his name has been floated for U.S. Senate candidacy.
Darian DeVries
The recently hired coach of Indiana, DeVries, came off a year at West Virginia and a successful run at Drake. He's still looking for his first NCAA Tournament win, but seems very active in the recruiting world for IU.
Porter Moser
The coach at Oklahoma, Moser, is probably best known for taking Loyola-Chicago to the 2018 Final Four. After four years at Oklahoma without an NCAA Tournament win, Moser is looking to improve in 2025-26.
Matt Painter
The Purdue boss of two decades plus, Painter, took the Boilermakers to the 2024 Final Four. Purdue and Painter reached the Sweet 16 in 2025.
Sean Miller
New Texas coach Miller has had success at Xavier and Arizona, reaching four Elite Eights at those schools. He's hitting the ground running ahead of his first season in the SEC.
Other notable faces (non-head coaches) not listed
Again, the list offered by Tipton may not be exhaustive. Among other faces notable in the crowd were Kentucky assistant coach Mark Fox and apparent assistants from Louisville and Georgia. The NBPA Top 100 is always a camp full of future stars. Two of 247Sports' top 10 recruits in 2026 were in attendance at the camp, as were several 2027 top recruits.
