Chloe Kitts is making the most out of the college basketball offseason. The South Carolina forward is coming off a fun-filled weekend at the 2025 Overtime Select Takeover at OTE Arena in Atlanta. Some of the events included 1v1 action between top high school players and a 3-point shootout with more than 10 participants.
However, the main event was the 'Next Up 5s," a showcase that puts two of the biggest WBB stars – LSU's Flau'jae Johnson and USC's JuJu Watkins – in coaching shoes. While Kitts did not impact the outcome of the game, she collaborated with UConn's KK Arnold behind the mic in the commentators' booth.
Now, with the 2025 Overtime Takeover in the books, Kitts highlighted some of her best moments on Wednesday.
"Thank you for an amazing experience! @overtimeselect @gatorade," she captioned the Instagram post.
Kitts and Arnold are fresh off battling for the 2025 NCAA championship trophy two months ago. Kitts entered the game as the SEC tournament MVP while Arnold highlighted how bench players can impact winning. Both of them scored nine points as the Huskies defeated the Gamecocks 82-59.
It was the South Carolina guard's first-ever appearance at Overtime's annual event, which brings some of the best women's high school basketball players from across the country in one spot.
This year featured hoopers like Kaleena Smith, Kate Harpring, Tatianna Griffin, Jemini Mitchell, Trinity Wilson and more.
Chloe Kitts is coming off her best college year
The Gamecocks were one game away from clinching back-to-back NCAA championships. However, the Huskies prevailed, marking an end to its nine-year title rut. Nevertheless, there were several silver linings for coach Dawn Staley this year, and one of them was Chloe Kitts' performances.
The forward started all games and averaged a career-best 10.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists on 52% attempts. While it was brief, she also leaned towards shooting 3-pointers more than usual last season.
Kitts will now enter her final college year with South Carolina before heading to the WNBA. With the exit of Bree Hall and Sania Feagin, she will act as a veteran in the squad, helping younger players blend into Staley's system.
