The Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase had an incredible game as the fourth-ranked UConn Huskies secured a 101-68 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones inside the Mohegan Sun Arena. The Huskies were led by Sarah Strong scoring a career-high 29 points while Paige Bueckers added 27 points as well.

The Cyclones (9-4) weren't aggressive enough as they struggled to find their shots. The Huskies (10-1) continue to look like one of the most complete teams in all of women’s college basketball.

Iowa State vs. UConn Game Summary
The Iowa State Cyclones played pretty well offensively as the team finished 25-of-54 (46.3%) from the floor, 8-of-25 (32.0%) from the 3-point line, and 10-of-12 (83.3%) from the free-throw line.
The team grabbed 24 rebounds, but only three of them were offensive. The Cyclones stepped up with 21 assists on their 25 made field goals in the game. They had a singular fast break point while controlling the paint with 32 points in the paint. The defense had three steals and did not record a block.

The UConn Huskies were able to have one of the better shooting nights that we will see as they were able to finish shooting 37-of-65 (56.9%) overall, 20-of-34 (58.8%) from beyond the arc, and 7-of-9 (77.7%) from the charity stripe.
The team grabbed 33 total rebounds (seven offensive, 26 defensive) and had 27 assists on their 37 field goals. The defense also showcased with nine steals and three blocks. They only turned the basketball over eight times but had 14 fast break points. Their distance shooting was able to dominate throughout the game.
