LSU women’s basketball star Flau'jae Johnson has made it known that family remains at the heart of her success, both on and off the court. The 21-year-old standout shares a close relationship with her step-siblings despite having different fathers, and her mother, Kia Brooks, expressed her pride in their strong bond in a wholesome post on Instagram this week.

Flau'jae and her family attended the BET Awards 2025, where she turned heads in a glamorous wine red high-low gown paired with matching heels.

As the LSU guard posed for photos, her brother Trayron Milton, known by his rap name Tray Milz, was seen adjusting her dress. This was a beautiful moment that their mother captured on camera and shared it with a heartfelt message.

“Watching my kids support and care for each other is truly a blessing. As a parent, it's amazing to see your prayers answered and your children thrive in love and unity.❤️🌹Flau'jae & Tray Milz,” Kia wrote.

Off the red carpet, Johnson’s brand visibility continues to grow. With a rising social media presence and a blossoming music career, Flau'jae has become one of the top earners in women’s college basketball through NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals. Her valuation is about $1.5 million, according to On3’s NIL tracker.

On the court, Johnson is the key piece of LSU’s roster heading into the 2025-26 season. After averaging 14.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last season, she is expected to play an even bigger role next year as the Tigers look to return to the Final Four.

With success in basketball, music and fashion, and family supporting her every step of the way, Flau’jae continues to shine.

Flau’jae Johnson opens up on strained relationship with Angel Reese

Former LSU teammates Flau’jae Johnson and Angel Reese famously shared the court during their memorable run to the 2023 NCAA national title. However, their relationship has since fractured, something Reese previously confirmed publicly.

Johnson addressed the situation during her appearance on “The Breakfast Club" on Monday, clearing the air on where things stand between the two.

“We're not friends, but that bond we had — that thing we did together, winning a national championship — you can never take that away from us,” Johnson explained. “Sometimes stuff happens, you wish it didn’t, but it does. And you just gotta grow.”

When asked to elaborate, Johnson confirmed that outside noise and “a lot of locker room stuff” contributed to the fallout between them.
