But in between the serious basketball business, Thomas provided a light-hearted moment that made its way onto social media.

During a courtside break, Thomas was caught on camera sharing a hilarious exchange with another player, joking about his feet needing some professional attention. The clip was shared on Instagram by "Mic’d Up" on Sunday.

“I need to go get my feet done bro, like a pedicure,” Thomas said.

The other player responded by admitting he had not gotten a pedicure in a year, prompting a quick-witted comeback from Thomas:

“I didn’t ask that.”

The playful exchange took another turn moments later when Thomas jokingly asked for a sip of the other player’s drink. This time, the tables were turned, as the other hooper replied:

“Nah you ain’t ask that.”

Thomas is a five-star recruit from Pittsburgh, having established himself as one of the top shooting guards in his class. He attended Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, where he averaged 23.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 3.3 steals per game as a junior, helping the school win back-to-back PIAA state titles.

Thomas finished his high school career there with 1,750 points before joining Overtime Elite’s City Reapers as a non-professional to maintain his college eligibility.

Meleek Thomas reveals why he chose Arkansas over other top programs

Highly sought after, Thomas committed to Arkansas, choosing the Razorbacks over Pittsburgh and UConn. He will now play under coach John Calipari, who is aiming to turn the Razorbacks into a dominant force in the SEC.

While speaking to reporters in November about his choice of Arkansas, he revealed the reasons behind his choice.

“Just the love they showed,” Thomas said. “Continuing through the whole process, they showed love to my family, not only to me, but also to my family. Play style. They’re just big on me, so I’m big on them.
“I’ve had that relationship with Coach Cal for years now. It’s always just progressed, it never went down. He just showed love and makes me feel like I should be at Arkansas.”

The shooting guard is the highest-ranked player out of Pittsburgh and is expected to add quality to the Razorbacks’ backcourt.
