College stars can be underestimated on occasion when it comes to their skillset. Cooper Flagg was no different, especially when former NBA star Jeff Teague evaluated his skillset.
Teague originally made his thoughts on Cooper Flagg known in an episode of the Club 520 Podcast. He had the notion that the Duke star's strong performances were due to his energy on the court, not his talent.
"He ain't got no bag like that. He ain't got no moves. He's an energy player," Teague said on Nov. 14.
However, after Duke's victory against Arizona on Nov. 22, where Cooper Flagg put up a stat line of 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three blocks, Teague admitted on Thursday that he was wrong about the freshman star.
"I was so wrong [about Cooper]. Whoever run the Duke page, they told me Cooper doesn't turn 18 yet, told me his birthday, everything. 'He leads our team in every stat,' then I watch him play against everybody in the world," Teague said.
In the comments of the video about Teague's admission on Flagg, fans hyped up other top freshman prospects, Rutgers duo Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, with some comparing them to Flagg. Here are some of their reactions.
"Ron Harper son came through and made people reevaluate cooper," one fan said.

"Harper and Ace Bailey are top freshman prospects facts most definitely Ron Harper son is the number one prospect if didn’t believe me watch game or go look up his stats," another stated.

"Dylan Harper will be a superstar, Ace Bailey, high ceiling, great potential, but we won't know what he is until his body fills out, he struggles somewhat with the physicality...Cooper will be very good, could be better than good with the right team. They all have all-star potential...Dylan is a guarantee, as long as he stays healthy! He is the truth," a fan explained.

Other fans also gave their takes on the highly touted prospects.
"Flagg seems like a more mature gordon hayward with a high motor and defensive chops. Egor demin looks like the russian version of franz wagner. Harper seems a little like haliburton mixed with SGAs ability to glide in traffic. Bailey is MPJ esque with a better mid range game. There are 3 enticing 7'2+ footers. This is going to be a fun draft class," a fan said.

"The top 3 in order for me so far are Dylan Harper, Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey," one declared.

"Yeah when Teague said cooper wasn’t like that I instantly said bro was tripping lol. Dude was cooking nba players," a fan remarked.

Dylan Harper believes Ace Bailey should be picked No. 1 over Cooper Flagg
Dylan Harper recently provided his stance on Cooper Flagg being the top pick of the 2025 NBA Draft.
In an interview with basketball reporter Taylor Rooks that was uploaded to YouTube on Nov. 25, Harper believes there is a solid chance that his Rutgers teammate Ace Bailey can be picked first in the draft instead of Flagg. (Start at 17:51)
"I mean, I think everyone watches the shot creation, stuff like that, just the person he is off the court, you know, he's everything I think; he's everything an NBA team would want. I mean, he'd do all the right things. He'd do all the right things. He's always on time, stuff like that. Be the first one to the gym, last one out, late night, early morning, stuff like that," Harper said.
Flagg and No. 11 Duke hold a 5-2 record, preparing for their next matchup against No. 4 Auburn at the Cameron Indoor Stadium on Dec. 4 at 9:15 p.m. ET.
For the Scarlet Knights, they just concluded today's game against the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies, losing by a score of 81-77. They fall to 5-3 on the season, as they will look to rebound against Ohio State at the Value City Arena on Dec. 7 at noon ET.
