UConn guard Azzi Fudd is getting ready for the 2025-26 women's college basketball season, and her latest video provides a glimpse of how she's determined to improve on her skills during practice.

The reigning NCAA Women's Tournament Most Outstanding Player is shown in a video posted by WNBA Got Game on Instagram working out her shooting skills, slashing to the lane and making shots on the dribble with a guard facing her.

Fudd was also seen in the video sporting curly hair and sweating it out with trainers in the practice facility.

The social media post with a caption: "Azzi Fudd putting it in that summer work" generated more than 900 likes since it was posted on Friday afternoon.

The 5-11 guard is coming off a bounce-back season with the Huskies, playing 34 games and averaging 13.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

She stepped up her game in the NCAA Tournament, tallying 17.5 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 2.5 apg and 3.0 spg to be one of the prime contributors to UConn's run to their 12th national championship, alongside Paige Bueckers and Sarah Strong.

The incoming fifth-year senior decided to stay for another season with the Geno Auriemma-coached squad to help the Huskies win back-to-back national titles.

Post-Paige Bueckers UConn brings in a strong lineup for the 2025-26 season

UConn will parade a strong lineup for the 2025-26 season to defend the women's basketball title. Huskies coach Geno Auriemma won't have superstar guard Paige Bueckers back in the lineup, but he'll have a solid core of returnees raring to run it back and deliver the program's second-straight crown and 13th national title overall.

Returning players Azzi Fudd, Sarah Strong, Jana El Alfy, KK Arnold, Allie Ziebell, Morgan Cheli, Ice Brady, Caroline Ducharme and Ayanna Patterson are back for another crack at the title.

The Huskies didn't rely heavily on the transfer portal, but the coaching staff secured the best talent, who will reinforce the team. The team acquired Wisconsin double-double machine Serah Williams and USC bench spark Kayleigh Heckel, giving them a deeper rotation of veterans.

They also had a great haul of freshman recruits during the offseason. They are Ecuadorian forward Bianca Quiñonez, five-star guard Kelis Fisher and 6-5 center Gandy Malou-Mamel.

The five transfer acquisitions and freshmen recruits will have chips on their shoulders. They seek to prove they deserve the trust Auriemma and his coaching staff have given them during the offseason.

The new season starts in November and UConn is within the top three of ESPN's way-too-early rankings. It's in second place, behind South Carolina, and ahead of UCLA.
