Flau'jae Johnson is taking her big-sister duties seriously. The LSU guard posted a video on Friday, via her Instagram story, showing off her skills in putting her youngest brother, Aythan Amir, to sleep. Aythan was born earlier this year in May.
"Put that boy to sleep quick," Johnson wrote.
Flau'jae Johnson, who has an NIL value of $1.5 million as per On3, has one older brother, Trayron Milton, and four younger brothers. They are popular with her teammates and friends as fellow LSU guard, Last-Tear Poa, danced along with the boys to 'Teach Me How To Dougie' by Cali Swag District.
Last month, a video of Johnson's brothers interacting with UConn guard, Paige Bueckers, went viral as fans noted their precious exchange between them, with one of the boys calling her 'Paige Buckets.'
Flau'jae Johnson's success streak with the Tigers continues
After the Elite Eight run last season, Flau'jae Johnson promised to lead the Tigers on a better run for this year's campaign. He has delivered thus far as he helped LSU on a 14-game winning streak. Johnson is averaging 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists on 51.9% shooting.
The Tigers played their last game before winter break on Thursday against UIC and won 91-73. Johnson finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. However, despite the win, LSU coach Kim Mulkey seemed unhappy about one aspect of their game.
“Defense, we need to get better defensively," she said. "We don’t defend like it matters, we defend like ‘We’re better than you and we’re gonna outscore you’. And that just bothers me.”
Mulkey shared that she will teach this to her team after they return from break next week.
“You work on it when you get back from the holidays. You work on it, you make it important. You have all of them buy into it, get in a stance and we’ve got to get back to being a better defensive team. They shot 40 percent from the field, you’re not going to win many games when teams do that.”
Working on this part of their game is extremely crucial for the Tigers as they will be playing against heavy-weight clashes once the new year begins. LSU's first game after the break is against UAlbany Great Danes on Dec. 29. It is scheduled to tip-off at the Pete Maravich Assembly Centre and will be broadcast live on SECN+.
