A fan of LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson arguably had the best Christmas as the young girl received tickets to the Tigers' games, along with Johnson's PE shoes as gifts for the holiday season. The young fan reacted to the presents in tears, hugging her parents.
ESPNW shared the video on its Instagram, which the junior guard then reposted to her story with the caption:
"Mann 🥹🥹."
Flau'jae Johnson is known for her interaction with fans on and off the court. Most recently, the guard gave away her shoes from the game against UIC to a fan who was not allowed to bring in a poster she'd made for the star, themed around her song, 'Came Out A Beast.'
Earlier this month, Johnson gifted a pair of her exclusive All-Pro NITRO player edition shoe with PUMA to her biggest fan, Kambri.
Flau'jae Johnson spoke about why she stays after games to interact with fans
Flau'jae Johnson enjoys a large fan following for her basketball skills and is one of the few players who stays back after games to interact with fans. In a July episode of her podcast, 'Best of Both Worlds,' Johnson said she missed this habit of hers when the college basketball season wasn't on:
"I get this from Kobe, in a different way because Kobe was like 'I don't know who has spent their last amount of money to come see me play. So I'm going to go on the court and give everything that I got.'
"My philosophy is the same, but also at the end of the games, I don't know how far these people drove, I don't know how much money they spent, I don't know what little girl I could touch and inspire for her to be great."
Flau'jae Johnson is enjoying a great run with the Tigers this season as they remain undefeated. She is averaging 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks. After the Elite Eight exit last season, Johnson and the Tigers are looking to win an NCAA championship this year.
The guard revealed in an interview with Sports Illustrated that despite winning the national championship in 2023; she is hoping to lead her own team to another title this season:
"I feel like if I don't win another championship, it's gonna be a failure for me. I like to just shoot for the moon and work really hard and try to see where I land."
Johnson and the Tigers will return to action on Sunday against UAlbany.
