"We stand a supportive father": College hoops fans react to Coach Prime’s warm message for daughter Shelomi Sanders post Alabama A&M debut

Alabama A&M guard Shelomi Sanders made a brilliant start to this season. She helped the Bulldogs secure a dominant 96-50 victory over the Oakwood Ambassadors in an exhibition game on Monday at AAMU Event Center. She recorded 14 points, one rebound and an assist.

Deion Sanders' daughter began her college career at Jackson State. The win against Oakwood should give Sanders a lot of confidence ahead of her team's season opener versus Alabama Crimson Tide.

Her father posted a warm message on Instagram, expressing his pride after his daughter's impressive performance against Oakwood.

"I’m so PROUD OF U BABYGIRL & that at the end let’s them know that you’re a $ANDERS! Daboo Daboo Daboo," he wrote.

Her father's message caught the attention of college hoops fans on social media.

What's next for Shelomi Sanders and the Alabama A&M Bulldogs?

Sanders put in a decent performance against Oakwood on her Alabama debut. However, Sanders and the Bulldogs will now turn their attention to the season opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The game will be held on Thursday night at the Alabama A&M Events Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Sanders has the ceiling to be one of the best players in her position in college basketball. However, she needs more experience to mature as a guard. Many eyes will be on her when Alabama A&M tip off their season versus the Crimson Tide.
