Angel Reese is one of the most well-known basketball players after her incredible NCAA Tournament run. As Louisiana State University prepares for its on-campus national championship victory parade on Wednesday, let's take a look at her parents.

According to The Netline, her parents were divorced early in her life. Together with her brother, they were raised by their mother, Angel Webb.

Basketball runs in their genes as Angel Webb played at Maryland Baltimore County. She even played professionally and has been enshrined in UMBC's Hall of Fame.

Her father, Michael Reese, played college basketball for Boston College and Loyola University of Maryland. Michael took his talents overseas and had a professional career as a basketball player in Luxembourg.

Angel's brother, Julian, is a sophomore forward at the University of Maryland, where Angel began her college career.

Right now, Angel's mom has shared her undying support for her daughter's success with LSU.

Angel Reese shared how her mother has inspired her to play basketball

Following her parents' divorce, Angel Reese's mother became the sole parent for both her and her brother, Julian. In an interview with Just Women's Sports, the LSU star shared how their mother inspired her to pursue basketball.

"I used to go to my mom’s games when I was younger," Reese said. "She used to play in a little league, and I used to always go to watch her games on Sundays. That was something that was always inspiring to me. She’s always been independent and she molded that into me. I am who I am because of her."

It wasn't just her mother who has pushed her to work hard on her talents. Angel's brother was also a source of positive impact on her, as he helped her become a competitive athlete.

"Everything was always competitive with my younger brother," Reese said. "We had a basketball court in front of our house, and it was always very competitive and intense. We played all the time together. It helped shape me to who I am now."

Angel Reese responds to the First Lady inviting Iowa to the White House

Recently, Angel Reese has been vocal about certain things that are related to her. One of those things was First Lady Jill Biden's suggestion that Caitlin Clark and Iowa should also be invited to the White House after losing 102-85 to LSU in the national championship game of the NCAA Tournament. Clearly, Reese wasn't happy with the first lady inviting the team that the Tigers defeated in the tournament.

"If we were to lose, we would not be getting invited to the White House. I remember she made a comment about both teams should be invited because it was sportsmanship. I'm like, 'Are you saying because of what I did?' "Reese said as she gestured wrestler John Cena's celebration.
"I'm not gonna lie to you, I don't accept the apology because of what you said. You can't go back on certain things you said. You felt like they should've came because it's sportsmanship, right? They can have that spotlight. We'll go to the Obamas."

Reese also shared that the First Lady was supposed to talk to the team's locker room before the game but they refused. According to her, President Joe Biden didn't have LSU in their bracket going deep into the tournament, which led to them refusing.

In the end, President Biden invited only the Tigers, and despite Reese's comments, LSU has accepted the invitation, school spokesperson Michael Bonnette confirmed Thursday.

Biden had No. 3 seed LSU losing to No. 6 seed Michigan in the second round, but the Tigers cruised 66-42.

Biden whiffed worse with his men's bracket. He chose No. 2 seed Arizona to win the national championship, but the Wildcats were upset by No. 15 seed Princeton in the first round.
