NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - Final Four - Practice

Nick Pringle reportedly entered the transfer portal on Tuesday after playing two seasons at Alabama. The forward played a role in the Crimson Tide's successful season in 2023-24, where they went all the way to the Final Four for the first time in the history of the basketball program.

The senior becomes the fifth Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Pringle has one year of eligibility left in college basketball and wants to take full advantage of that. We take a look at what could be the fourth school of his college career.

5 landing spots for Nick Pringle

#1 Arkansas

John Calipari is looking to build a strong roster for Arkansas following his surprise arrival at the program. The coach joined the Razorbacks after spending 15 years at Kentucky.

Without a doubt, Pringle will be a brilliant addition to the Razorbacks basketball team ahead of Calipari's first season. His experience at the Division I and JUCO levels will be vital for the team.

#2 Clemson

It was a brilliant season for Clemson in 2023-24. The Tigers reached the Elite Eight for the second time in their history, losing out on a place in the Final Four to Alabama.

Without a doubt, the program aims to build on its success in the upcoming season. With Clemson relatively active on the portal, Nick Pringle is one of the choices it should consider.

#3 NC State

NC State had a brilliant run in the 2023-24 college basketball postseason. The program claimed the ACC Tournament and went all the way to the March Madness Final Four.

The Wolfpack have experienced a host of portal entries and will be losing a couple of players to the draft. Nick Pringle is undoubtedly a good choice for the team to stay competitive next season.

#4 Tennessee

Tennessee had a noteworthy outing in college basketball last season. The program claimed the SEC regular season title and reached the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

However, the Volunteers have seen eight players enter the transfer portal following the conclusion of the season. With Nick Pringle’s experience, he can help get the team back on track immediately.

#5 Ohio State

Ohio State basketball is set to begin life after Chris Holtmann next season. The coach was fired in February following an unimpressive tenure that ended with an 18-game losing streak.

The Buckeyes want to be competitive in college basketball, and they need players to do that. Adding Nick Pringle to the team will be a big boost for Jake Diebler’s team.
