Top 10 players to watch our for on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft

Tennessee RB Jaylen Wright

#10 Christian Mahogany, G., Boston College

Boston College offensive lineman Christian Mahogany is one of the top-rated prospects remaining in the draft. He's projected to be selected early in the fourth round. He has great upper-body strength and excellent balance.

He could be a nice fit for the Jacksonville Jaguars with pick number 116. He would be a good option to give Jacksonville some depth on their offensive line to protect Trevor Lawrence.

#9 Devontez Walker, WR, North Carolina

North Carolina wideout Tez Walker was a projected third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft but remains on the board heading into round four. Walker has a great ability to get past the secondary with his speed and has big play potential for every target he gets.

His route running still needs work, but he could be a good pick for the Baltimore Ravens with the 113th pick. Their receiving core is razor thin in terms of depth, and Walker would give them another speed option down the field for Lamar Jackson.

#8 Xavier Thomas, EDGE, Clemson

Thomas is a projected fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He is extremely quick and has a relentless pursuit off the edge.

He isn't the strongest player at his position, but he ended his six seasons at Clemson with 33.0 tackles for loss, 18.0 sacks and six forced fumbles.

#7 Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State

Johnson should be expected to go early in the fourth round on day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

He was a projected third-round pick with a prototypical NFL tight end build. He has a great blend of blocking and catching ability but doesn't have much speed.

He could be considered by the New York Jets with the 111th pick to give him a chance to compete for the second or third tight end spot behind Tyler Conklin.

#6 Khyree Jackson, CB, Oregon

Khyree Jackson is a defensive back with great size and length. He has the ability to get into the backfield and finished last season with 2.0 sacks.

He has shown some struggles in press coverage and isn't the quickest prospect at his position. He's projected to be taken in the mid-to-late fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, around 120th overall.

#5 T.J. Tampa, CB, Iowa State

Iowa State's T.J. Tampa could be a steal on day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

He has great size and balance while playing well in press coverage. He doesn't have the ideal top speed for NFL defensive backs, but he possesses elite football instincts and could be a future starter in the league.

#4 Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

Franklin was the top target for Bo Nix at Oregon last season and finished with 1,383 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. He's one of the top 2024 NFL Draft prospects who has yet to be selected and should go early on day 3 in the fourth round.

He will need to bulk up in the NFL and add some muscle to be as effective as possible. But he has great size and adequate speed to earn his spot on an NFL roster.

#3 Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee

Jaylen Wright was a 1,000-yard rusher for Tennessee last season and added 141 yards receiving but only found the end zone four times.

He has a speedy back with great agility and has the ability to fight for extra yardage. His vision and fumbles have been a concern for NFL scouts, but he still has the potential to develop into a future starter.

#2 Audric Estimé, RB, Notre Dame

At six-foot-one, 215 lbs., Notre Dame running back Audric Estimé is a bruising back who is still light on his feet as a ball carrier.

He's an average pass blocker out of the backfield and would serve as more of a short-yardage back for whichever team selects him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

#1 Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina

Rattler is one of the top-rated quarterback prospects still waiting to be selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

He threw for over 3,000 yards in each of the last two seasons at South Carolina. He'll likely be selected late in the fourth round on Day 3 by a team looking for a quarterback with some potential in the future.

The Las Vegas Raiders could be the ideal team to select Rattler with the 112th overall pick. The Raiders failed to grab one of the six quarterbacks that were selected in the first round, and Rattler would be the option with the least risk at this point in the draft.
