Nick Saban talks about his new car dealership on the Pat McAfee Show

Nick Saban has been one of the most successful and richest head coaches in the history of college football. With all of his endorsements and salary, he has shown the ability to continue being successful off the field as well as in his legendary coaching career.

During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Alabama coach Saban discussed how he has expanded his car dealership to over $700 million. The 72-year-old mentioned that he has rarely set foot on a car lot but has a reliable person in charge of the business. He said (via AL.com):

“I have a great partner, Joe Agresti, who is in the car business, so everything is in good hands all the time. We’ve got a great team of people. A lot of the things that we try to do in our business is the same kind of things that we do to have success in football."
“But I’m not involved in that. I think I’ve been in a showroom maybe one time this year. So I don’t dabble in it much. I have a lot of confidence in the people who do a great job in the business for us.”

This is something that is incredible and could also help create name, image, and likeness deals for the Alabama Crimson Tide if they decide to do so. With Nick Saban being a legendary figure and having his name associated with the business, things will continue to increase as he continues to buy up Mercedes-Benz dealerships.

Can Nick Saban get the Alabama Crimson Tide into the College Football Playoff?

As per the College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday before Week 11, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide remain in the eighth spot in the country. The Crimson Tide are on a seven-game winning streak right now and hold the top spot in the SEC - West Division.

The way for the Alabama Crimson Tide to make the College Football Playoff is simple: win the SEC Championship. In the history of the four-team playoff format since 2014, there has never been a two-loss program to make the CFP.

Three regular season games remain as the Crimson Tide will face the Kentucky Wildcats, Chattanooga Mocs, and Auburn Tigers. They should be the favorites in all three games and likely will climb.

However, if the Alabama Crimson Tide want to make the College Football Playoff, they need to win the SEC Championship Game over the Georgia Bulldogs.

Which teams are ranked above the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff?

The Alabama Crimson Tide would need to climb over a few teams to get into the College Football Playoff. Heading into Week 11, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, and Florida State Seminoles are in the CFP. Alabama would have to jump over the Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks, and Texas Longhorns if they want to make the playoff.
