ACC Week 11 Bowl Projections: Miami leads the rally while FSU gets toppled with poor 1-8 record

The 2024 college football season has entered the final stretch, and the ACC has played strong football throughout the year. The 17 teams in the conference are a combined 87-60 over the first 10 weeks of the season, including a 43-16 mark in nonconference games.

The ACC has five teams ranked in the latest rendition of the AP Top 25 Poll, however, just one of those programs is ranked in the top 12. The conference did not have any additional teams among the others receiving votes.

Seven teams have already reached six wins, while only two are mathematically eliminated from reaching that mark. The Florida State Seminoles, who were ranked 10th in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll, were one of those two teams. ESPN gives four additional teams a 75% chance or better of winning at least six games to be deemed bowl-eligible.

ACC Week 11 Bowl Projections

College Football Playoff bye: Miami (FL) Hurricanes

The No. 4-ranked Miami (FL) Hurricanes have the inside track to the ACC's postseason seed and first-round bye. They are 9-0 and will visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Week 11.

Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Tulane Green Wave

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are one win away from bowl eligibility as they are 5-4. They are coming off their bye and will host the No. 4-ranked Miami (FL) Hurricanes in Week 11.

Birmingham Bowl: SMU Mustangs vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

The No. 13-ranked SMU Mustangs are bowl-eligible and have a shot at the postseason as they are 8-1. They will have a bye this weekend before hosting the Boston College Eagles in Week 12.

DIRECTV Holiday Bowl: Duke Blue Devils vs. Arizona State Sun Devils

The Duke Blue Devils are bowl-eligible as they are 6-3. They will visit the NC State Wolfpack this weekend.

Wasabi Fenway Bowl: Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Memphis Tigers

The Virginia Tech Hokies are one win away from bowl eligibility as they sit at 5-4. They will host the No. 19-ranked Clemson Tigers in Week 11.

Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl: Louisville Cardinals vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

The No. 25-ranked Louisville Cardinals are another bowl-eligible team, as they also sit at 6-3 entering Week 11. They will have a bye this weekend before visiting the Stanford Cardinal in Week 12.

Pop-Tarts Bowl: Pittsburgh Panthers vs. Baylor Bears

The No. 23-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers are 7-1 after suffering their first loss of the season in Week 10. They will host the Virginia Cavaliers this weekend.

Go Bowling Military Bowl: Syracuse Orange vs. North Texas Mean Green

The Syracuse Orange are 6-2 and have already clinched bowl eligibility. They are set to visit the Boston College Eagles in Week 11.

Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl: California Golden Bears vs. Washington State Cougars

The California Golden Bears are just 4-4, however, they are given a 92.0% of reaching a bowl game. They will visit the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a pivotal Week 11 matchup.

Gator Bowl: Clemson Tigers vs. Missouri Tigers

The No. 19-ranked Clemson Tigers saw their postseason odds take a big hit as they fell to 6-2 with a Week 10 loss to the Louisville Cardinals. They will visit the Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 11.

Duke's Mayo Bowl: North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns

The North Carolina Tar Heels are one win away from bowl eligibility as they are 5-4 entering their Week 11 bye. They will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons next weekend.
