Arkansas vs Missouri: Preview
Arkansas is a three-point underdog and the over/under is 54 points.
The Razorbacks have been a tough out this season and are coming off a good win over the Bulldogs. Heading into Saturday's game, Arkansas coach Sam Pittman knows it's tough to win in Missouri.
“I wish I knew that,” Sam Pittman said on Tuesday, via On3. “We’d have a couple more wins. I think Eli [Drinkwitz] has done a great job of cultivating the fans. When we play them, it’s usually cold, which they’re probably a little bit more used to that than we are. I don’t know exactly. We’ve been playing on Friday. Maybe they did a better job of preparing their team than we have.”
Arkansas is led by Taylen Green who has thrown for 2,584 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Ja'Quinden Jackson has rushed for 703 yards and 12 TDs, and Andrew Armstrong leads the team with 1,012 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Missouri has been inconsistent this season and is 2-2 in its last four games. Entering Saturday's matchup, Tigers coach Eliah Drinkwintz is eager to play a good Arkansas team.
"Now to the game this week, Arkansas, the Battle Line Rivalry, it's a great rivalry and a really good football team," Drinkwintz said on Tuesday, via SI. "I think coach [Sam] Pittman has done a tremendous job at the University of Arkansas.
"I just saw a stat today where I think he's the first coach in their history that's gone to four bowl games in the first five seasons that he's been there. He's done an excellent job recruiting and reshaping that roster from last year. They're very talented, went into the transfer portal, got the right pieces, continually makes great hires."
Missouri is led by Brady Cook who has thrown for 2,080 yards, nine TDs and two interceptions. Nate Noel has rushed for 779 rushing yards and three TDs, and Theo Wease Jr. has caught 51 passes for 709 yards and three TDs.
This should be a competitive game. However, Taylen Green will be the difference as he is a good dual-threat quarterback and should be able to carve up the Tigers' defense.
Prediction: Arkansas 24, Missouri 21
