Florida Gators tight end Arlis Boardingham has entered the transfer portal after three years at Florida. However, he redshirted his freshman season. Boardingham has multiple years left of college football eligibility.
Boardingham was the Gators' backup tight end and recorded 18 receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns last season. He had a better year the previous year, with 26 receptions for 289 yards and four touchdowns.
Boardingham can be a starting tight end in college football, so he should have plenty of suitors for him.

Arlis Boardingham transfer portal: Top 3 landing spots
#1, UCLA
Arlis Boardingham is from California and, if he wants to return home, going to UCLA makes a lot of sense.
UCLA's starting tight end last season was Moliki Matavao, a senior, so the Bruins need a new tight end. Boardingham would add local talent to UCLA, which is always a bonus.
Boardingham is likely looking to go to a place where he can be the starter for a while and UCLA fits the bill.
#2, Mississippi State
If Arlis Boardingham wants to remain in the Southeastern Conference, the Mississippi State Bulldogs make a lot of sense.
The Bulldogs' starting and two backup tight ends in 2024 were all seniors, so they need to overhaul their tight end room.
Boardingham has experience playing in the SEC, which is a benefit as he knows what it is like to play in the conference and will be comfortable playing there. He also has a chance to be a starting tight end for a couple of years and add some stability to the position for the next couple of seasons.
#3, Florida State
If Boardingham wants to remain in Florida, the Florida State Seminoles make sense for them.
The Seminoles starting tight end in 2024 was Kyle Morlock, a senior, so FSU needs a tight end. After a very disappointing season, the Seminoles should have to overhaul most of their roster and tight end is a position of need.
Boardingham is a good blocker and can also help the offense and be a safety blanket for the quarterback.
