With Britton unable to play, Trey Gronotte is expected to get the start. He'll be tasked with making field goals and scoring extra points against a rampant Notre Dame side.
Zach Mundell
According to FOX Sports, Zach Mundell is unavailable for tonight's game. The quarterback is dealing with an undisclosed injury and remains on track to miss the entirety of the 2024 college football season.
Mundell is one of the most versatile players on the Black Knights' offense. He also has experience in the wide receiver position.
Notre Dame football’s injury report
Jason Onye
According to On3 Sports, Jason Onye will not play against the Army Black Knights. The defensive stalwart will miss the crunch matchup due to a personal matter.
According to Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman:
"He is just taking some personal time right now to get some things that he needs. So, if there’s a chance for him to return, we would love to have him back. But at the moment, we just have to support Jason in getting the help he needs."
Howard Cross III
According to Clutch Points, Howard Cross III is questionable to play in tonight's game. The defensive lineman is dealing with a niggling ankle injury.
Coach Freeman is optimistic about Cross III's availability. However, the Notre Dame head coach stopped short of confirming his fitness ahead of tonight's crunch matchup.
