Clemson vs SMU injury report: List of players injured ahead of Week 15 showdown

The injury report is always a factor in college football games, and that remains the case heading into the championship weekend. The No. 8-ranked SMU Mustangs (11-1) will play the No. 17-ranked Clemson Tigers in the ACC Championship Game. Both teams are dealing with half a dozen injuries or more.

Clemson vs SMU injury report

Both teams have injuries to factor into their plans with the ACC Championship Game approaching quicly. However, Clemson is the team with more players on its injury report. It will be interesting to see if that is a factor when the game takes place.

Clemson injury report

Clemson has nine players on its injury report, including a couple of key roster players.

#1 Dietrick Pennington

Offensive lineman Dietrick Pennington is questionable for the ACC Championship Game against SMU with an undisclosed injury. His season has been severely limited because of the injury, as he only appeared in the first two games of the season. However, he has been upgraded to questionable ahead of Saturday's matchup.

#2 Trent Howard

Offensive lineman Trent Howard has been available most of the season but missed the regular season finale against South Carolina with a knee injury. He is listed as out again against SMU.

#3 Tyler Brown

Wide receiver Tyler Brown is listed as out for the ACC Championship Game with an ankle injury. He has not played since a 40-14 win over Stanford in late September.

SMU injury report

While SMU does not have as many injured players as the Tigers, it still has six listed on its report.

#1 Jake Bailey

Wide receiver Jake Bailey has been out for over two months with an undisclosed injury. His status has not been updated, so he is expected to miss the ACC Championship Game. His last appearance was in a 28-27 overtime win over Duke on Oct. 26.

#2 AJ Davis

Cornerback AJ Davis suffered a head injury in September against TCU. He has not been able to return since. However, he has been upgraded to questionable for the ACC Championship Game.

#3 Zane Minors

Running back Zane Minors is questionable for Saturday's game against Clemson with a lower-body injury. He has not played since the second game of the season, against Houston Christian.
